An Introduction Letter from Kelly
Dear Friends of Work Skills Foundation,

Some things find you before you know you're looking for them.
That's how I would describe my journey to Work Skills Foundation.
My husband Patrick has spent his career in education, half of it spent teaching in resource room, working one-on-one with students who just needed someone to believe in their potential.
Then, a few years ago, he helped bring Unified Sports to Brighton Area Schools, creating a space where students of all abilities could compete, celebrate, and simply belong together on the same field. Our two boys, Elliott and Brooks, have had their own opportunities to serve as Links, peer mentors who walk alongside classmates who might otherwise walk alone.
Service isn't something we talk about in our home. It's something we do. And it's something we've been blessed to witness transform people.
So, when I learned about the opportunity at Work Skills Foundation, I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of it. The impressive fifty-year history, thousands of lives touched, and a mission rooted in the dignity of every person's potential… I didn't just want to join. I felt called to serve.

I step into this role as your new Development Director with deep appreciation.
You, our donors, are the reason this work has endured for five decades. You have trusted this mission with your resources, your time, and your hearts. The foundation laid here at Work Skills is strong, and a shared testament to our community’s partnership for the mission. It is my goal to honor, to listen to, and to help grow our work in meaningful ways.
I am eager to hear your stories, understand what drew you to this work, and learn from the wisdom you carry. My promise to you is this: I will lead with gratitude, listen before I act, and always keep our participants, the people whose lives we are privileged to touch, at the center of everything we do.
Thank you for welcoming me into this community. I truly look forward to building this next chapter together.

With joy & gratitude,
