ABA Scope of Services
The proposed clinical services project is a partnership with WSC, Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS), Livingston County Community Mental Health (LCCMH), and private insurance carriers.
This program will serve children, adolescents, and adults from Livingston County who have speech and language impairments or a related disorder and are seeking support with the needs presented with these diagnoses. Diagnoses may include needs related to articulation, expressive/receptive language, pragmatics, cognitive communication, swallowing, etc. The program will provide assessments for them to assist in determining strengths and needs as wells as interests and family priorities. The caregivers of clients will participate in one-to-one caregiver support meetings as prescribed.
The clients will participate in one-to-one speech and language therapy based upon a treatment plan created from evaluation results, client needs, caregiver input, and progress monitoring. Service settings include WSC Brighton ABA Clinic, home, and community.

Clinical Services Speech Therapy Program provides individuals with the opportunity to develop skills related to articulation, language, pragmatics, cognitive communication, swallowing, etc. These skills are targeted based on a treatment plan that includes strengths/weakness, client interest, and caregiver input.
As skills develop and progress is made, goals are adjusted in order to focus on accuracy maintenance while increasing the client’s independence. Progress is monitored on a quarterly basis, allowing for goal adjustment as deemed appropriate.
The onsite speech and language pathologist holds a master’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. The SLP maintains the requirements to practice by holding a speech and language pathology license in the state of Michigan in addition to national Certificate of Clinical Competence.
