Work Skills Corporation

Full time receptionist and administrative support assistant needed for company in Brighton. Responsible for answering phones, greeting and directing guests and managing incoming vendors and service persons. Will maintain filing system, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and assist office personnel on various tasks. Some pre-employment/HR responsibilities and experience preferred. Outgoing personality with strong professional and communication skills both written and verbal are necessary.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen and route all incoming calls
  • Greet and assist guests and vendors
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail, including Federal Express and UPS packages
  • Organize and maintain company files, file room, filing index and new file preparation
  • General clerical duties including photocopying
  • Maintain kitchen area and common office area
  • Organize and maintain copy room
  • Assist with various projects
  • Ordering of supplies
  • Pre-employment/HR duties

Skills and Experience

  • Receptionist experience in professional setting
  • Strong phone and front desk skills with the ability to make decisions and handle guest situations
  • High level of organizational skills and ability to think beyond the task
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of computer and internet as well as Outlook, Word and some basic Excel
  • Knowledge of the operation of standard office equipment
  • Knowledge of basic administrative procedures such as filing and record keeping
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction on given assignments
  • Ability to multi-task
