HVSC is a cooperative training program with MRS, Huron Valley Schools and Work Skills Corporation. The focus for youth is employment readiness, which is accomplished by providing exposure to a variety of jobs so the students can gain work experience and knowledge of positions to match their abilities, competencies, and interests. The project’s goals are for students to learn both “hard and soft skills”. Specifically, skills that will help them ultimately land employment and then the skills to retain their job. MRS, Huron Valley Schools and WSC support the youth as they learn how to develop work/life skills to successfully transition into the world of post-educational employment.
